Campaign StatusAs of December 15, 2009 PROGRESS TO DATE The last six months have seen a continuing pattern of new donations and pledges, which is particularly encouraging given the economic difficulties we are all experiencing. Over 270 new donors were recorded in the six months from mid-July to mid-December of 2009. As a result, the Campaign has now raised over £1.9 million in donations and pledges, over 22% of its target. In September, Archbishop Peter reminded all parishes that the Campaign was still under way and urged those who had not previously made a donation or pledge to do so. His message was supported by a new Campaign Office initiative, communicating Campaign results for each parish to the Parish Priest and Parish Campaign Leader. At the same time, the Campaign Office launched the third in the series of posters designed by pupils in our Catholic schools and drafted reminder messages for inclusion in parish bulletins. The success of the Campaign will be measured by the number of pledges or donations received, not by their value. The goal is for at least 60% of families to participate in the Campaign. As of today, over 26% of families in the Archdiocese have participated in the Campaign but some parishes are well over 50%! If you have among those who have not yet made a donation or pledge to the Campaign, this is a perfect time to do so. Campaign brochures and Pledge Cards are available in the church or from your Parish Campaign Leader or they can be downloaded from the Archdiocesan website which is: www.rcadc.org. SUMMARY OF RESULTS
